Brilliant example of the fire that lies beneath our feet
The product of an interesting morning at the house, my dog was digging and running around trying to get at something under the fence. I ran up to see what it and found this turtle trying to scurry away and occasionally taking a snap or two at him. Needless to say I rescued him and put him in a bucket with some clean water since it was really hot and dry(poor little guy was just looking for a cool wet place). After letting him cool I did find a ditch with some water to release him in. He looks like a red-eared slider but I’m not sure.
